Lookalike audiences allow you to easily reach new people who are likely to be interested in your business because they're similar to your most valuable existing customers. We look at the common qualities of the people in a source audience, such as demographics and interests, and then find people who most closely “look like” that source audience. Advertisers that use events can create a dynamic source audience based on the actions people are taking in their app or on their website.
Facebook and Instagram’s global reach can scale your campaign quickly but getting thousands of leads in a short time can overwhelm your call centers or teams who are nurturing these potential customers making timely follow-up a challenge. Use pacing to understand lead volume and make sure that you’re able to follow-up in a timely and efficient manner. If you find that your business can manage the volume of leads, you can increase your daily budget. Be aware though, that segmenting your budget too broadly might make it harder for your ads to deliver as much as you intend them to. We love paid social advertising because it's a highly cost-effective way to expand your reach. If you play your cards right, you can get your content and offers in front of a huge audience at a very low cost. Most social media platforms offer incredibly granular targeting capabilities, allowing you to focus your budget on exactly the types of people that are most likely to be interested in your business. Below are some tips and resources for getting started with paid social media marketing:
The next funnel is crucial if you are selling your product and have people abandoning the cart. Let’s say for example that 100 people visit your site, and 10 people are interested in purchasing. So, they click the ‘add to cart’ button but never purchase the product. Without the proper tracking, you would never know this information, and this is exactly how most business owners run their businesses. You’ll learn how to properly set this up in this video. Using events, you can automatically create Custom Audiences based on actions people have taken in your app or on your website. With Custom Audiences, you can add additional rules— like frequency, recency, time spent— to retarget people based on specific intent signals. Facebook generally offers last-touch attribution (recording only users who saw your ad and immediately converted) as a data point in ads. We know this isn’t always the whole picture. Sometimes people will see your ad, ruminate for a few days, and finally Google you and convert. Technically, they’re an organic search lead but in reality, they started as a paid social media lead. These people are lost to the Ads Manager reports. how to track FB friends location

You know that booze cruise offer that follows you around the web? How about that pair of stylish shoes you added to your cart but forgot to purchase? That’s remarketing. Thus, you have the advantage of knowing how they’ve already interacted with your brand, and in what part of the funnel they reside.
We set up backend events to record when people tap on links from Facebook which result in viewable articles, then determine if the article was viewed as an Instant Article or mobile web version. We then look at the collection of articles which were published as Instant Articles and compare their performance to their mobile web counterparts. We do this by comparing test group users who could see Instant Articles to control group users who only see the mobile web version of the article. By comparing the number of article views (normalized for group size), we determine how the presence of Instant Articles affects article views. ***NOTE*** With this old split test technique, there is AUDIENCE OVERLAP when creating your split tests. Which means that the same audience may see both ads. Facebook supports multiple advertising types across Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger. Each ad has two components: The format (what it looks like) and the placement (where it will be displayed). When you’re creating your ad, you may need to find specific info about the type of ad you’re creating, like what size your image should be or how many characters you can use.
That said, this ad isn’t perfect. The focus on the Fitbit-like tracking heuristics is a very compelling angle, but personally, I don’t think the ad sells the relationship between the app and the actual clothing line sufficiently. Even though it’s a highly effective image, I’m more interested in the app and what it tracks than the clothing itself, and that’s before I even begin to think about how the clothes look or fit. Do Facebook Ads Work 2019?
Remember how back in the old days of advertising (for sake of argument, let’s say five years ago), you had to actually research your audience, their likes and dislikes, challenges, needs, etc., before you created an ad? And then along came that ridiculous Oreo Super Bowl tweet and all of a sudden the concept of properly understanding your audience went out the window and “real-time” everything was in. Well, it doesn’t quite work that way if you want great performance from Facebook advertising.
