Thank you for the extensive article. The one question that I can’t seem to find an answer to anywhere is the following. I have business manager setup for my agency – I have access to a client’s page through business manager. The client doesn’t have an ad account, but wants me to run ads for them. We want to setup an ad account for them that’s billed to OUR agency payment method. I don’t see an option to create a new ad account to run ads for this client under my business manager. He’s non-technical and doesn’t know or want to setup an ad account under his personal FB login, so we can’t “request access” or “claim” an account that doesn’t exist. Yet the “create new” option under my business manager forces me to select “advertising on behalf of” … with only my agency name in the drop down as an option … so I don’t think this is the way to go since I’m not advertising on behalf of myself – I’m advertising on behalf of his business. Anyone know a solution or have a recommendation to create an ad account for a client without having to login to their personal FB account to set it up?
Dear fb, I always have loads of troubles w fb groups. Groups bully me w rules that people break. I always get in trouble and never do anything wrong. There needs to be more Human Resources for problem solving cause nobody sees situations correctly and blame wrong person. The block can’t always be a solution. Please please do something about groups.
YouTube is the number one place for creating and sharing video content, and it can also be an incredibly powerful social media marketing tool. Many businesses try to create video content with the aim of having their video “go viral,” but in reality those chances are pretty slim. Instead, focus on creating useful, instructive “how-to” videos. These how-to videos also have the added benefit of ranking on the video search results of Google, so don't under-estimate the power of video content! Too Young for Millennials, Too Old for Gen Z

Marketers and businesses have been noticing for a while that when calculating conversions from Facebook Ads (or any other ad platforms), the measurements given by the respective ad manager and analytics sites on each platform don’t quite match up with the numbers Google Analytics will show. Instead of saying “the Facebook Ads manager know best” (which I’ve heard a lot of people say), it’s best to ask why are they different and—most importantly—which is most accurate? A ramp-compare ADC produces a saw-tooth signal that ramps up or down then quickly returns to zero. When the ramp starts, a timer starts counting. When the ramp voltage matches the input, a comparator fires, and the timer's value is recorded. Timed ramp converters require the fewest transistors. The ramp time is sensitive to temperature because the circuit generating the ramp is often a simple oscillator. There are two solutions: use a clocked counter driving a DAC and then use the comparator to preserve the counter's value, or calibrate the timed ramp. A special advantage of the ramp-compare system is that comparing a second signal just requires another comparator, and another register to store the voltage value. A very simple (nonlinear) ramp converter can be implemented with a microcontroller and one resistor and capacitor.[13] Vice versa, a filled capacitor can be taken from an integrator, time-to-amplitude converter, phase detector, sample and hold circuit, or peak and hold circuit and discharged. This has the advantage that a slow comparator cannot be disturbed by fast input changes.
I have a Group offering clothing to individuals, it has become a scrolling nightmare to locate the clothes for our members. I have been asked many time if there was a way to organize in to sub categories/groups to make locating easier. Why is this not a feature allowed in a facebook group and it should be. Please consider making this possible. Thank you, Kandy
As I mentioned in my Social Media Examiner post on Social Plugins for fan pages, Facebook generates the Like/Send button code for you on its Social Plugins page. For the Like/Send button, you just need to enter the URL you want people to “like”, select whether you want to include a Send button and a couple of other options, then copy the code in the popup dialog, which will look like this:
By diving into the demographics of your current audience, you can figure out how to target like-minded users who will be interested in your product or service. Snapchat is a popular messaging and picture exchanging application that was created in 2011 by three students at Stanford University named Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown. The application was first developed to allow users to message back and forth and to also send photographs that are only available from 1–10 seconds until they are no longer available. The app was an instant hit with social media members and today there are up to 158 million people using snapchat every single day.[60] It is also estimated that Snapchat users are opening the application approximately 18 times per day, which means users are on the app for about 25–30 minutes per day.[60]
Hey Christina, thanks for Asking, this is a very requested feature and it’s on our Radar. There are however some technical difficulties as the url is part of the creative not of the whole ads (technical api stuff) so it’d be pretty easy for us to insert in the Google Analytics utm code which creative has been clicked (pic 1, Title 2, etc.) but it gets pretty complex to insert there informations about the targeting (Us, Male, 18-24). Doing that would highly increase the failure probability of campaigns as we’d often have to create 10x the number of creatives and Facebook may not like it.
We finished the four steps from Facebook’s welcome menu, but there are still a few things you can do to customize your Page. For example, every Facebook user has a vertical navigation bar to the left of their News Feed. By adding your Page as a shortcut here, you’ll always have easy access. Go to your News Feed and click on “Edit” next to “Shortcuts” in the left vertical navigation to make it easy to navigate to your Page in the future. The Complete Facebook Marketing Course

It's visual. The picture alone is worth a thousand words about how much fun this concert would be. Not only is it on the beach, it was also taken on a gorgeous day and the stage looks amazing. Also, it clearly represents what to expect during the event, and it catches the eye as someone scrolls through their News Feed. (The beautiful ocean water definitely helps.)
Audience Insights is a tool which allows you to pull from self-reported Facebook data (information given by Facebook users when they fill in their profiles) and third-party data (information like household income, purchasing behavior, etc. pulled from external partners) to create new audiences. Where specifically does this data come from? Facebook gives you three options: glean insights from everyone on Facebook, from people connected to your Page, or from an existing Custom Audience.

Only use effective social proof: Using weak testimonials with no compelling stats or benefits can do you an anti-favor. As KlientBoost blogger Jacob McMillen explains: “If you have negative social proof, the best thing you can do is eliminate the metrics being displayed.” Unimpressive testimonials can work against you, leaving a negative impression of your brand. Once again, Shopify demonstrates a keen understanding of its target audience, as well as how to leverage the visual nature of Facebook ads to create a clean, minimal, and compelling ad experience. This ad poses a question to prospective ecommerce store owners that they may have even asked themselves before, making this ad a very tempting proposition. In the next section, you’ll be able to choose your budget, schedule your ads, and select an optimization method. You can choose a lifetime budget or a daily budget and you can either have your ads run indefinitely or be scheduled to start and end on certain dates. You can even choose to use dayparting, which allows you to run your ads only at certain times or on certain days of the week.
Facebook does not currently let you automatically run A/B tests on your ads, as they spend more of your daily budget on the ads that are converting better. However, they do this very early so you are best off to let your ads run long enough to get a decent sample size before you make any decisions. My recommendation is at least 500 impressions, but even better if you can wait until 1,000 impressions before pausing the underperforming ads.
This type of ad is very creative and users can get the most value out of it thanks to the communication of multiple products or messages. Multi-product ads showcase a wide array of products or services in a single ad. It also lets the audience scroll through all the images and click on each of their individual links for a more selective end experience and potentially a higher chance of conversion.
Value optimization was built on the premise that not all conversions are the same. As an advertiser, we understand that you want to drive more efficient return-on-ad-spend, and measure your campaigns the same way you measure your other business objectives. To help accomplish this, Facebook has introduced value optimization, a bid type that optimizes for purchase value, allowing our system to estimate how much purchase value a person may generate with a business over a 1 to 7-day window. It then bids to deliver conversions that maximize purchase value.
Powered by the Facebook pixel and App Events, conversion optimization is the recommended optimization type for any ad set that has a website conversion goal, such as a form-fill or a purchase. With conversion optimization, we’ll deliver impressions to people in your target audience that are likely to convert after seeing your ad. We determine the likelihood based on historical data from that ad, from that individual and from people with similar characteristics. Holding other factors constant, if it’s more likely that the targeted individual will take the action you’re optimizing for, your ad will rank higher in the auction for that individual.
The ad copy pokes fun at other grooming product companies while implying Dollar Shave Club’s progressive attitude in the first two sentences, immediately setting itself apart from companies like Gillette, which have begun to eat into Dollar Shave Club’s dominance of the grooming products sector with gender-specific products that strongly conform to typical norms (the “pink” razors the ad makes fun of). This is why you can't turn on or turn off limit ad tracking in iOS 11
As with any marketing vehicle, to maximize returns for your business you want to understand why you are doing the marketing in the first place, define your marketing goals, and develop a corresponding strategy. Your audience may value Facebook as a customer service vehicle for your business. In other cases, it might be an appropriate content or news source. In other cases, an appropriate sales source. In other cases, your fans may just want to “talk” with you and feel a part of it all. Align your Page to your strategy, and define associated success metrics.
If your business has an offer or event going on at your store, set up a few Facebook Reach ads that appear only to people within a short distance of your store. Have these ads appear a few days prior to the event and on mobile devices while the event is happening. You may want to reach some people the day of the event who happen to be in the area and checking their Facebook account on their smartphones. 🔥 SECRET Amazon Product Launch Strategy: How To Rank On Amazon With Facebook Ads + Manychat
You can use the Facebook pixel to track your website visitors' actions. This is called conversion tracking. Tracked conversions appear in the Facebook Ads Manager and the Facebook Analytics dashboard, where they can be used to analyze the effectiveness of your conversion funnel and to calculate your return on ad investment. You can also use tracked conversions to define custom audiences for ad optimization and dynamic ad campaigns. Once you have defined custom audiences, we can use them to identify other Facebook users who are likely to convert and target them with your ads. How to Create a Facebook Icon on the Desktop

There's a lot of ad content on Facebook, and when Facebook users scroll through their News Feeds, that content start to blend together. Sometimes your best chance at sticking out on Facebook is by using subtle movements and details -- like Allbirds did, above. Let every other video on Facebook be quick and flashy, and yours will be a breath of fresh air to your audience.
In addition, social media platforms have become extremely aware of their users and collect information about their viewers to connect with them in various ways. Social-networking website Facebook Inc. is quietly working on a new advertising system that would let marketers target users with ads based on the massive amounts of information people reveal on the site about themselves.[104] This may be an unethical or ethical feature to some individuals. Some people may react negatively because they believe it is an invasion of privacy. On the other hand, some individuals may enjoy this feature because their social network recognizes their interests and sends them particular advertisements pertaining to those interests. Consumers like to network with people who have interests and desires that are similar to their own.[105] Individuals who agree to have their social media profile public, should be aware that advertisers have the ability to take information that interests them to be able to send them information and advertisements to boost their sales. Managers invest in social media to foster relationships and interact with customers.[106] This is an ethical way for managers to send messages about their advertisements and products to their consumers.
