All about Social Media Marketing tools and training

In this training, social media strategist Megan Adams will take you through the basics of advertising on facebook, helping you understand how to go beyond organic methods of promotion. She will teach you the basics of setting up campaigns, how various tools work and how to get started with your marketing. She will then move on to other topics including how to target, how to reach your desired audience and important tips to enhance the performance of your advertising.

Paid advertising in Facebook is a great opportunity for your business in that Facebook enables you to target your audience for your ads in many ways. You can specify the age group, gender, and geographic area of those that will see your ads. Not only that, you can specify the specific interests of your audience as broadly or as narrowly as you’d like. You can set your bid price and campaign budget, and test as many ad images, headlines and ad copy as your heart desires. And if you decide that your campaign is just not working, you can stop the campaign immediately, thus lowering your risk of overspending on your campaign.

According to Facebook, the best way to run campaigns is to activate all placements. This allows the Facebook Ad platform to optimize against which placements are achieving your desired objective at the most cost-effective rate. They call this Placement Optimization. The logic here is that the more placements that you use, the more data the Facebook Ad platform has to learn from. The more it can learn, the better your campaigns can perform! Even though this is one of Facebook’s own recommended best practices for Facebook Ads, it is important to consider where YOU as the advertiser want the ads to show. For instance, ad placements on Audience Network won’t generate engagements. If you care about that metric, you might want to omit Audience Network from your efforts. We recommend going to market utilizing Placement Optimization and nurturing what performs the best! Shopify Facebook Ads Conversion Tracking - Set-Up Facebook Pixel on Shopify Website
“To run a Facebook Contest, you’ll need to use a third-party app such as Wildfire, Strutta, North Social, Easypromos or Shortstack. You can also create your own iFrame app to accept the entries, but that will require programming. Facebook has many rules about how a contest or promotion can be run that you should read here: http://www.facebook.com/promotions_guidelines.php. The main thing to consider is that you cannot automatically enter people who Like your page or post a comment on your wall.

Whether someone is ready to book a trip or is just looking for travel inspiration, match their intent with items from your travel catalog. Traditional advertising techniques include print and television advertising. The Internet has already overtaken television as the largest advertising market.[90] Web sites often include the banner or pop-up ads. Social networking sites don't always have ads. In exchange, products have entire pages and are able to interact with users. Television commercials often end with a spokesperson asking viewers to check out the product website for more information. While briefly popular, print ads included QR codes on them. These QR codes can be scanned by cell phones and computers, sending viewers to the product website. Advertising is beginning to move viewers from the traditional outlets to the electronic ones.[citation needed] 15 Annoying Things In Your Everyday Life [No Voice]
Marketers and businesses have been noticing for a while that when calculating conversions from Facebook Ads (or any other ad platforms), the measurements given by the respective ad manager and analytics sites on each platform don’t quite match up with the numbers Google Analytics will show. Instead of saying “the Facebook Ads manager know best” (which I’ve heard a lot of people say), it’s best to ask why are they different and—most importantly—which is most accurate?

I’m in a group for women writers that lists freelance jobs, and one thing I love about it is that the moderators and other members will jump to tag each other so that the right candidate finds that job. Similarly, I’ve seen plenty of groups where members tag each other for expertise and opinions, even if it’s just a discussion. This is extremely valuable, and when you tag members, it shows that you remember them and you value their opinion. It’s an excellent way to get them engaging more often. Just don’t get spammy with it. How to schedule Facebook group posts 2018
The Facebook pixel is a small snippet of code that you, your website engineer or a Facebook Marketing Partner can paste in your code. Since social media marketing first came to be, strategists and markets have been getting smarter and more careful with the way they go about collecting information and distributing advertisements. With the presence of data collecting companies, there is no longer a need to target specific audiences. This can be seen as a large ethical gray area. For many users, this is a breach of privacy, but there are no laws that prevent these companies from using the information provided on their websites. Companies like Equifax, Inc., TransUnion Corp, and LexisNexis Group thrive on collecting and sharing personal information of social media users.[107] In 2012, Facebook purchased information from 70 million households from a third party company called Datalogix. Facebook later revealed that they purchased the information in order to create a more efficient advertising service.[108]

With the basic skeleton of your Page complete, there’s an important step you’ll want to take before you send the Page out to the world … or even your co-workers. Remember how Facebook creates business Pages separate from personal profiles? One benefit of this is so multiple people from an organization can edit and post from the Page without sharing login credentials. But that also means you need to designate who has what levels of editing access. That’s where Page Roles comes in. Facebook Marketing Made Easy for beginner

We do this by comparing test group users who could see Instant Articles to control group users who only see the mobile web version of the article. By comparing the number of article views (normalized for group size), we determine how the presence of Instant Articles affects article views. An important note here: Even if you don’t plan to use Facebook ads right away, it’s a good idea to set yourself up with a Facebook pixel now. This will give you access to important data when you are ready to launch your first campaign. A Facebook pixel is a simple piece of code that you place on your website to track conversions, remarket to people who have already visited your website, and build targeted custom audiences for future ads. If you’re using manual bidding, it’s best to start with a bid that represents how much you value each lead. For example, if a lead is worth $5 to you, bid at least $5. Lower bids may reduce the number of people in your target audience who see your ad. How To Set Up Your Facebook Pixel For Beginners In 2019 | Easy Facebook Pixel Tutorial
Facebook retargeting lets advertisers position ads to warm audiences. This is highly valuable because warm audiences are closer to buying, as they have already shown an interest in your products or services. This indicates that additional sales fostering is required. How To Build An Email List - Build An Email List With Facebook

As a savvy online consumer, it’s very rare that I don’t know where I want to buy something before I start shopping around. Sure, I might be occasionally tempted by a great offer by a retailer I’m not familiar with, but generally speaking, I already have a good idea of where I want to shop long before I sit down to browse. As a result, most online ads seem cheap, disruptive, or misleading – which is why I rarely pay attention to them (when I’m not using an ad blocker, of course). Facebook Campaign Budget Optimization is a way of optimizing the way a campaign uses budget across ad sets. Typically, an advertiser would set budgets at the ad set level. However, with Campaign Budget Optimization, Facebook will continuously and automatically find the best opportunities to achieve your designated objective across your ad sets and prioritize budget to the ad sets that are performing the best. This gives you less control as an advertiser but gives the system more control to use your budget efficiently. The one thing to be cautious of here, is that if there are campaigns that you need to get a certain level of attention, you will NOT want to use Campaign Budget Optimization. You will want to set the budget at the ad set level to ensure visibility. Google Tag Manager Facebook Conversion Pixel Tutorial For Beginners - How To Setup & Install

Simplify, simplify, simplify: If your ads are too complicated to understand in a few seconds, people give up as quickly as they started reading in the first place. Sometimes it makes sense to leave some ideas unmentioned in the ad and explain everything in depth on your landing page. A study showed that 59% of people actually never read more than the headline of a Facebook share, so yes, you want to be brief.

Exclamation marks FTW: Did you notice the exclamation mark at the end of the ad headline? That’s no coincidence. Exclamation marks make us more alert and attentive to messages. That being said, don’t abuse exclamation marks either. As New York Magazine’s The Science of Us writer Melissa Dahl pointed out, “The exclamation mark, once reserved for expressing joy or excitement, now simply marks baseline politeness.” In other words, hacks only work if you don’t overexploit them.

What this told us is that these advertisers either a) outsourced their ad campaigns to third-party companies that were not being good stewards of their client’s budget or b) had an internal employee responsible for the ad campaign, who neglected their duty to pause the campaign from running in hurricane-impacted areas. Not only were these ad campaigns a waste of resources, but were also insensitive to those who were truly hurting from the flooding, wind damage, and other devastation. Retargeting and remarketing effectively share the same goal of closing sales using warm leads. The major difference is the delivery of ad delivery. Remarketing usually uses email to contact warm leads, whereas retargeting uses ads such as Facebook to reach warm leads. Retargeting tends to outperform remarketing, as users are more receptive to Facebook ads than undesired emails.

You can choose from “Ad Id”, “Ad Name”, “AdSet Name”, or some other parameters of the target audience such as interest, gender, country, and age.  Once these options are selected from the dropdown menu, they will be automatically added to your ads as a trackable link and you will find the data in your Google Analytics account, under “Acquisition” and then “Campaigns”. Secret groups are private to members -- only members can see the group, who else is in it and what other members post.

Because the information about the product is being put out there and is getting repeated, more traffic is brought to the product/company.[4]
